Stresst legal

Privacy Policy

Version 1.1 — Effective 21 September 2026

1. Who We Are

Stresst Ltd (formerly CJC Group Ltd) operates Stresst, a property and mortgage calculator app and the website stresstapp.com. We are the data controller for the personal data we collect about you through the app and the website. Contact us at support@stresstapp.com for any privacy-related queries.

2. What We Collect

Account data — your name and email address when you register, managed securely by Clerk (we do not store your password).

Subscription and purchase data — your subscription status, purchase and renewal history, and entitlement state linked to your Clerk user ID and managed by RevenueCat.

Saved scenarios — calculator inputs you choose to save so you can revisit them later.

Calculator scenario data — named calculation snapshots you choose to save to your account.

Enquiry data — contact details and property information you submit when requesting an introduction to a specialist.

Technical and usage data — app diagnostics and aggregated usage patterns to help us improve the app.

Crash reports and diagnostic data are sent to Sentry for crash reporting and diagnostics.

Country preference — your selected country setting, stored locally on your device.

Advertising identifiers — your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android) may be collected by Google AdMob to serve relevant ads. On iOS 14+, this only occurs if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt shown on first launch.

Newsletter data — if you sign up to our newsletter: your email address, when you gave consent, the wording you agreed to and the version of this policy shown to you, and when you confirmed or unsubscribed.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob (operated by Google LLC) to display in-app advertisements to users who have not subscribed to Stresst Premium. AdMob may collect and use the following data to serve ads:

Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS; Google Advertising ID on Android).

IP address and approximate location derived from it.

Device information (model, operating system, language, time zone).

Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).

iOS App Tracking Transparency: On iOS 14 and above, we display Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before initialising AdMob. If you decline, AdMob will serve non-personalised ads only and will not use your advertising identifier for cross-app tracking.

Premium subscribers do not see any ads and are not subject to AdMob data collection via this app.

Google's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. To opt out of personalised ads: on iOS go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; on Android go to Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

4. How We Use It

To provide the calculator tools and save your scenarios across devices.

To connect you with a specialist when you request an introduction, sharing only the information necessary for that introduction.

To maintain and secure your account and detect fraud or abuse.

To improve the app using aggregated, anonymised usage data.

To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

To send you our newsletter, only if you have signed up and confirmed your subscription by email. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send or on our website.

5. Where Your Data Is Stored

Account credentials are managed by Clerk on its own secure infrastructure. Saved scenarios, enquiries and newsletter subscriptions are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database provided by Neon (part of Databricks) on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States (us-east-1, Northern Virginia). Our application servers are hosted by Replit. Emails are delivered by Resend, which stores account and email data in the United States.

6. How We Protect Your Data

Data in transit is encrypted using TLS.

Sensitive fields (including addresses, notes, and financial figures) are encrypted at rest using AES-256.

Data access is restricted to authenticated requests only.

Clerk independently secures your login credentials to its own industry-standard security practices.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data while your account is active and for up to 24 months after account closure, to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Data is then deleted or anonymised.

Newsletter: if you do not confirm your subscription within 30 days, your details are deleted automatically. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address and the date you unsubscribed, so that we never email you again. You can ask us to delete that record entirely.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights over your data: access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your data; export your data in a portable format; object to or restrict processing of your data; withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

These rights apply under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, EU GDPR, and applicable US state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@stresstapp.com. We will respond within one month.

9. Who We Share Data With

10. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored and processed in the United States. Where a provider is certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (the "UK–US data bridge"), we rely on that. Otherwise we rely on the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, which require your data to be protected to a standard equivalent to UK law.

11. Children's Privacy

Stresst is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy
